Summer Camp at SAY Sí!

Students entering grades 6, 7 and 8 in Fall 2025 can enroll in our middle school studio camp this summer at SAY Sí! Students will spend the day in our spacious studios developing hands-on projects in visual, media and theatre arts. You can enroll for one week or both!

At SAY Sí, Middle School students work in two different studios to gain experience with a diverse range of creative approaches. Students will select one studio for the morning and one studio for the afternoon.  Full program descriptions and details provided below.

Camp Dates and Daily Schedule:

Week 1: July 14 – 18, Week 2: July 21 – 25

9am – 9:30am – Drop-off
9:30am – 12:30pm – Morning Studio
12:30pm – 1:00pm – Lunch
1:00pm – 4:00pm – Afternoon Studio
4:00pm – 4:30pm – Pick-up

Meals & Snacks:

Parents/Caregivers are responsible for providing lunch. Snacks will be provided.

Tuition:

Currently enrolled students: $100 per week reduced rate, includes non-refundable $25 registration fee
All other students: $300 per week, includes non-refundable $25 registration fee

Refunds and Cancellations:

$25 registration fee per week is nonrefundable.
Remaining balance is refundable four weeks prior to the beginning of the camp session.
50% of remaining balance is refundable two weeks prior to the beginning of the camp session.
Refunds will not be provided for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the camp session.

In the event a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, SAY Sí will provide a full refund.

Week 1 Classes

ALAS Theatre Arts – Acting with Masks
Create larger-than-life masked characters! Students explore global masked-performance traditions and mask-making techniques. By the end of the week, they’ll be ready to present an original play featuring their masked characters.

HIVE New Media – Choose Your Own Adventure Game Design
Dive into interactive fiction with this introduction to video game design. Students will explore storytelling techniques and develop game design skills using Twine software tools (no coding necessary) to write a choose-your-own-adventure style stories that will be playable with an online link. 

Visual Arts – Collage from Nature
Learn about Texas native plants and wildlife while exploring natural materials. Students will create collages using natural ties, paper, cyanotype and foraged materials.

Media Arts – GIF Art and Moving Images
Learn how to create eye-catching GIF portraits, landscapes, and other short animations using Adobe Creative Cloud software, no experience needed! We’ll dive into photo-based techniques, trippy patterns, and the boundaries between video and photo in this weeklong project and workshop. Whether you love cartoons, video games, or just want to make something cool to share online, you’ll discover how to turn your imagination into motion.


Week 2 Classes

ALAS Theatre Arts – Group Dance: Line Dancing, Flash Mobs, and Tik Tok Challenges
Learn basic line dances like The Boot Scoot Boogie, The Electric Slide, The Cuban Shuffle, and basic Cumbia steps for beginners among other group dances. Tik Tok dance challenges and Flash Mobs dances like the Thriller dance will also be rehearsed culminating in a final flash mob performance. This is a beginners dance class. No dance experience is necessary. 

HIVE New Media – Introduction to Animation
Create a short animation using Adobe Animate and other Creative Cloud Software! Students will design characters, create a storyboard and animate their scene using Adobe Animate and other Creative Cloud Software.  

Visual Arts – Serpent Sculptures
Create sculptures of snakes with natural materials including rocks, leaves and feathers. Students will learn about native species, Texas habitats and environmental stewardship.

Media Arts – Moody Portraits
Learn how to capture mood and emotion in front of the lens with portrait photography. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll experiment with glow-in-the-dark portraits using neon lights, classic black-and-white photography, and dramatic shadow and silhouette shots. You’ll also explore double exposure and color pop effects to make your portraits stand out.
